Doesn't she look happy to be cleaning?
Yes.

Would I look like that? Happy to be cleaning?
Of course not!
As a matter of fact, the Minister of Planning has been trying to actually tackle the house cleaning. But it's hard! It just keeps going from one room to another! This is not cleaning, I've seen this kind of cleaning and I swore on my life that this wasn't going to happen to my house!
But it's hard! I clean one room and then I go back and it's a mess. My kids are trying to drive me nuts because there was one point today where I thought I was going insane! " I know I just cleaned this room! What happened?!" Ducky and Chicky just laughed at me. They must have been thinking, "She's getting closer to cuckoo-cuckoo territory". Just a little more and we can get her in a straight jacket!
I'll give up for a while mainly because it's just not worth cleaning the same thing over and over again! You know, the dishes and laundry will get done of course, but if the windows don't get washed for over two weeks, oh well! If it's dusty, I'll wipe it off when I need it.
But I'm trying to get out of that mentality. I'm trying to set an example to my kids who don't pick up after themselves. It's really hard to say pick up the toys and not put the my things away when I'm done with them.
Monkey see... monkey do.
My goal is to clean the house and finally get it organized. But the BIG goal to have a full clean sweep of the house while Cpl. Mayhem is overseas.
Why when he is away? There are many reasons:
1. It will distract me from the fact that he is gone
2. I will be able to get rid of the junk that just keeps accumulating without having someone saying "We'll use that... eventually". I am giving my husband the time now to gather the things he wants to keep put them in a special spot so they won't get tossed but that is pretty much it. Shoes that haven't been worn in over a year will be donated. Crap that hasn't seen the main floor will go!
3. I can finally gain control of the junk so my family does not become pack rats. I'm not taking junk to our next posting! There won't be any baby gear floating around my house. The kids are old enough for those things to be donated, sold, tossed.
Hopefully I'll be able to look like the happy cleaning girl from the photo above willing to vacuum because now I'll actually be able to see the floor!

3 witnessing the mayhem:
Oh yes, I hear you. I look at my sons room and want to say something but feel bad cause theres a pile of clothes on my floor. so whats there to say? I need to work on that...
i am one of those crazy people who loves cleaning and I do it a lot. But I also tend to clean up behind Ethan before the poor kid is done playing with it.
Hi Ness. You're the winner of the peach cookbook on my blog www.heartsandhands.blogspot.com. If you will email me at LNawyn@gmail.com with your address I'll get it right into the mail.
