It's Not What You Say, It's How You Say It...

Going the PMQ "town hall" Meeting tonight was a trip!!

First off they've now changed the PMQ (Private Married Quarters) to RHU Residential Housing Units. Why? Because now single soldiers have the opportunity to occupy these houses. I have a point about this but I'm not going there right now.

OK, so everyone who had a question or concern had their question answered and such. On our base we have Ward Councillors who are there to help with problems that arise through the year.

One of Councillors got up and told everyone that if they wanted their problems to be heard, they could go to the Ward Council meetings and also have them addressed there.
"It's ONLY and hour two times a month, they have child care that is free so you have NO excuse, we've done it for 8 years and we haven't died from it."

Really?

I don't know about you but I what to jump on that band wagon really quick!

A friend of mine is also part of the Ward Councillor and I know she wouldn't have said it in that way, in that tone!

I know it could have been said in different way that would have intrigued people to go. But you turned me off all together.

My problem was given the run around. I mean garbage in the trash can at the playground overflowing for months now and no one has done anything about it. Come one! If they could empty out the trash can at the playground is all I'm asking. Then a gentleman asked about more trash cans on base and the base commander Hot Stuff (he was cute!), said he could do that. But then, who would clean them?

Right....

I was a military wife briefly many, many years ago. I hated it. Luckily my hubs had a medical discharge before I killed anyone. lol

just dropping by from SITS to say hi; hope you'll do the same.

I just want to thank you and your husband for his service. I know what a great sacrifice you make so my family is save. I have 5 sons. Three of them are interested in serving their country. You guys are so special!
