Tide Box Drama

When we moved into our first Residential Housing Unit (they are no longer calling them PMQs), my husband's Aunt Scarlett was telling me about some of the things you hear and the stereotypes of being a military wife.

She was telling about the Tide boxes and when you are living in RHU ... and you felt, um lonely, you put out a Tide box in front of your window and someone would know that your husband was gone. Do I need to draw a picture?

I thought that was just horrible! Why would you do that? But some people do that. This military wife however is true to her vows and I proved it to Cpl. Mayhem when we were packing to move to another RHU.

"Vanessa can you come down to the basement for a minute?"

"Yeah, babe, what's up?"

"What the heck is with all the Tide boxes in the basement"

"I was scared to put them out in fear that someone would think it was an invitation"

" LOL! You are funny baby!"
