Birthday Bliss

Well the day was a blissful one!

My morning started off early with a phone call from my mom singing me a Happy Birthday in Portuguese. Then I spoke to my dad who also sang but in Dutch! I miss them!

Ducky went off to school without a fuss and Chicky and spent the morning reading books and playing dolls.
I got some great flowers from my friend Katie, even Ducky liked them!!

Once the kids were in bed I made myself a birthday steak and poured a glass of wine to celebrated 28 years!
I found it weird this year to get my birthday cupcake and dinner. Telling my kids it was my birthday made me feel a little narcissistic! But it was my birthday so it's ok!!

I going to put my narcissism away for a minute and also wish Auntie Mayhem a happy birthday!
I got a nice phone call from her telling me to turn the radio on because she requested our favorite song Rump Shaker by Wreckx-n-Effect, Chicky and I were dancing in the dining room laughing and just having a blast!!

The one thing I did miss this birthday was my hubby. I teared up a little knowing he wouldn't be able to call.
But for now I'm going wind down the day with the People's Choice Awards and early to bed.

Because tomorrow is going to be the worst day of my life.
