Dana Loesch of Mamalogues.com wants to know if Valentine's Day important to you.
Dana, I have to say I'm on the fence.
I didn't have many Valentine's Day that were memorable or even good to make me want to say "Yeah, this holiday ain't so bad".
Laugh if you want, I worked at a toy store and I really wanted that one! So he did good! He also called me when I was in Aruba on February 14th!
I find it harder to enjoy Valentine's Day mainly because Cpl. Mayhem has missed EVERY Valentine's Day since he's joined the military and I don't know about you, flowers are nice but I would rather be able to kiss my husband on the day of love!
I've told hime time and time again that now I don't really care for that holiday because I treasure the time we have, which isn't a lie, but I would rather not leave my house to have others flash their PDA around me when my hubby is gone. It's kind of depressing!
However Heather Armstrong of Dooce.com said something that makes sense to me. She says in the very end of the clip that she doesn't need flowers, but if her husband could unload the dishwasher...
I agree with her! I don't need things. I never needed anything from my husband except for his love and support. But you know if he gave the kids a bath and tucked them both into bed, giving me a evening free of the night time chaos, he would be my hero!
Once again he is not here to celebrate Valentine's Day...
And when that romantic day comes I can only think that my husband comes home two weeks after, that will be my Valentine's Day!

I love Valentines day, I love flowers... But I would trade them all to have a kiss from my hubby. I like flowers for just because I love you any day of the year and no excuses needed to show love. This Valentines day I like you will be alone but I know my hubby loves me and as much as I want him home he wants to be home and I will take comfort in that :)
V-day use to just being another day but since being married my hubby spoils me to no end! The military does play a big downer on us too tho he normally works late but he makes up for it. i know how you feel! I still think homecomings are far better than any vday tho! hope you have a good one after!
This is my first valentine's day as a married lady, and of course Mike is in MB and I'll actually be in Montreal Sunday night. Boo. But when I think back to last year, I went to a Brad Paisley concert with a gf because he was a server, and had to work that night anyways - haha
I am on the fence too...I enjoy Valentine's Day and I have gotten exciting preparing what things to bake and getting little gifts together for the kids...but as for Phil and I we dont really do all that much. We haven't ever really gone all out on Valentine's Day but this year I said, no gifts, no cards. BUT this vday we'll at least be able to snuggle up and watch the Daytona 500!! haha! That's romance for ya!
