Departure Ceremony

One of the things I dreaded was this departure ceremony they had for the soldiers who are leaving for Afghanistan. It became real, too real, that Cpl. Mayhem would be leaving us for so long.

But once the ceremony started it was interesting to watch.

I've seen many soldiers walking by in their tans but was only one or two so it was easy to giggle when a soldier in tan walked into a coffee shop where they are the only ones in a sea of greens.

So to have an entire room full on tans was surreal.

Made me proud to be Canadian and proud to be an army wife.

Will the tour be a walk in the park? No, but he's prepared for it and so am I.
