Momversation Monday: Baby's First BOO! What's Your Plan For Halloween?

Happy Momversation!!!

I'm so excited to see and hear what you are all doing for Halloween!

Since it's not my first Halloween with kids I'll tell you what my first Halloween was like.

Ducky's first Halloween was fun but since Cpl. Mayhem was away we stayed home and watch the kids go trick or treating. Nothing very exciting, we got dressed up and we stayed warm at home.

After three years of not being there for Halloween, Cpl. Mayhem will be taking the kids trick or treating. Halloween is his holiday really. I think he is more excited about the candy than the kids are!

But what excited me this Halloween was the savings I made this year with their costumes! Last year I spend $60 on costumes for both the kids. This year I spent $20!! Instead of going to the store and buying costumes brand new I went on Facebook and other sites looking for costumes that other people were selling for less. Both kids told me what they wanted to be and I spent weeks finding the perfect costume.

Now Chicky is going to be a unicorn, I've convinced her the costume was a My Little Pony! And Ducky is finally going to be a ninja! I could never find a ninja costume and this year a friend of mine had an adult size costume that I couldn't pass up! I'm just going to hem the pants and I'm done!

What are your little ones dressed up as?

Fitness Friday

Weight.

An issue everyone faces and many obsess over. Especially women after having babies!

It's an obsession of mine but nothing has been done. Well that's not entirely true. I have lost 30 pounds but then I have gained and lost the same fifteen pounds over the past year and a half.

Now that my youngest is in kindergarten, I no longer have the luxury of calling it "baby weight". I need to do something! Even if it's something small.

At first, I actually rebelled on the idea of losing the baby weight, not because I didn't want to, because it seemed liked EVERYONE was super concerned about me jumping back into my pre-pregnancy jeans that I gave everyone the finger and popped another chip in my mouth.

Self-destructive maybe, sure.

But I wanted to do it for me and not everyone else and I haven't found the motivation I needed to start a program until about three months. I joined weight watchers and now that the kids are in school full time I have TIME to workout.

So here it is my fitness friday report. I'm hoping Fridays will become a video log or written log of what I've done good or bad. I'll post how much weight I gain or lose and what my goals are for the next week!
I'm ready to get my ass in gear!
Follow me every Friday! This should be interesting!

Momversation Monday: We Can't Do It All! Do You Have A Hard Time Saying NO?

Hello Monday!!!

With everything moms have to do in around of a day do you have a hard time saying no people?

I have had days where I planned not one but three play dates for my kids in one day because I couldn't say no to friends. Overwhelming? Yes!

But I have learned over the course of my mommy-hood that it's ok to say no and not feel guilty!

I have had weeks that have become so overwhelming even fun activities become tasking and tedious. And believe me, a night out with the girls is great if I'm not making a to-do list in my head for the next day.

For me I have learned to say no because my family needs a stress-free mom and my friends need a happy Vanessa. I learned that it's okay to say no, and it's not the end of the world. In fact, I've have had plans and then cancelled (with a good amount of time before the event) because it was just one of those busy days and I couldn't physically and mentally be there.

And you want to know something? I've had several of my friends breath a sigh of relief because they were thinking the same thing!

I'm always ready to say no if it doesn't work for me and my life. My key thing is to arrange for another time so that the person asking doesn't think that I'm trying to avoid them. Your time is yours, make the most of it. And if you can't remember what you did in a day you may need to start saying no for your own sanity!

Do you have a problem saying no? Let me know! If you say "no" I'll understand! :D

Later days!
