Look at the deer!!

On our way to visit my parents we decided to use Mapquest to get to their place without having to go into the city in the middle of rush hour traffic. At first the trip was going amazing. We were making great time, there was no one else on the road. All of a sudden we see a heard of deer in a field. Cpl. Mayhem turns to me and says we should turn back and take some photos. My only huge disappointment is that I didn't have my longer lens.

Once we were back on the road we were alone and enjoying the view when the paved road became a dirt road, and it went on forever. Then we lost signal to our cell phones, which really was no surprise to my husband's phone because he's with Telus and he could be standing next to a Telus tower and not get reception.
As it's slowly starts to get dark, the dirt road is never ending and I now have to pee, when I look at Cpl. Mayhem with my "now what?'" look when he says "I think Mapquest is trying to kill us".

Comforting! Next time I'll take my chances with the rush hour traffic!

Fitness Friday (In Support Of Military Minds) The Weigh-In Week # 2

As you can see this photo is my idea of distracting you from my weigh-in number. I only lost one pound but for the most part I keep thinking "slow and steady wins the race".
I'm back on my base, yeay (insert sarcasm here)! Now is the real test of my commitment to this starts now!

Going back into working out mode will be hard but I have some great friends who motivate me to continue to go. I have a good feeling about this week!

There was an article that said some people can actually gain weight due to water, and I REALLY hope this doesn't happen to me because I tend to lose confidence with minor set backs. However the article did say that the water retention does go away after my body adjusts to the new activity level, but lets cross our fingers that it does happen all together, shall we?

So ignore the nose! Let's keep going!
